Absolutely love my nails! NiNi was my nail technician and she did a fabulous job. The salon is so nice and provides calm vibes.

My technician Jenny is the best! I'm allergic to acrylic and she does liquid gel nails that look exactly that same. No other place locally can do this for me. Their customer service is wonderful and the employees are very welcoming and personable.

I have been going to this nail spa for 6 months and I am in love! I get the deluxe pedicure every two weeks and the service is always the same...professional and inviting! I go to Grace for my facials and massages. She's great! This place is awesome.

Been here twice now, both times I have been so happy with my end results. Very clean environment (the open implements in front of you so you know they're clean!) Im not aure the ladys name that did my nails the first time but Kevin did an AWESOME job on me today!!!!! This is definately my go to place while living here!!!

My daughter and I went there for mani, pedi and eyebrows and were very pleased with everything. Salon is very clean and very professional. We will definitely be returning every time we have our mother daughter spa days.

I have been trying so many different nail salons in the Bowie, MD area. I decided to try Avalon and from the moment I walked in I knew I found my new spot. It is clean, the staff are extremely pleasant. They did not rush me to pick a color. They were willing to try to replicate a design that I found on Pintrest and was happy to do it. They introduced me to the the new Cat Eye nail and I love it. My tech was Jonathan and the young lady that did the design was Katrina. I had a great time and felt as though I have been going there forever. I think I found my forever nail shop. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

I went to Avalon based on the reviews I read here. I went for a pedicure with my friend - it was wonderful. I was always asked if I was ok - if I needed anything - if the water temp was ok. Conversations were great - I didn't feel like I was being talked around. A great staff there. I went back the next day for fill-ins - same pleasant staff. Tina was wonderful and so nice. The place is clean - the pedicure area is relaxing - great massage chairs and lighting. This is now the only place I will go.

Went in one afternoon to get a gel manicure. Johnny was great!! He paid special attention to my nails and cuticles which were really bad at that time considering I wait about 4 weeks between each gel mani. Once he got to the painting part, he took his time and made sure every spot on each nail was covered. I absolutely love that since most places won't move your finger around to make sure they get the entire nail. I would have gotten a gel pedicure as well but my toes didn't need it then. I would definitely go back and recommend him.

This is a great place they have great pedicures and they really take their time. I got my spa pedicure and a new acrylic set which took me three hours in the salon. I do wish that I could have had two people working on me at the same time so that I could only spend an hour and a half in there and not three hours. I am very picky with my nails so I had to guide her on the shape. I wish that nail artist would recognize small details like making sure the shape of the nails are the same on each nail and not have one too thin and one thick etc. . I look at things like that, and I feel like I'm annoying when I ask them to make them even. They are OK with acrylics better at pedis I attached a picture of my gel nails after I received them. I read all the great reviews I decided to go Avalon too, Andy was very friendly took one look at my nails which had acrylic and gel polish(which were way too thick and un natural looking) and said I am going to take care of you! Your nails will look good! I was immediately put at ease. Andy redid my Acrylic, and gel polish the difference is night and day! Now they are perfect they look natural, and amazing!! He also did my basic pedicure and again my feet left the smoothest they have ever been. This is the happiest I think I have ever been with my nails! I have definitely found my salon, and technician. I only wish I would have found them sooner.

Excellent pedicure. Cleanest place in 10 miles! Price is competitive. They offer many types of pedicures. The basic was excellent. Tools were clean. Will be back.

After trying many of the salons in the area, this hidden gem is by far the BEST!! I came to try the SNS mani and am so glad that I did!! Kevin always works his magic and I leave with a PERFECT manicure. I have gone up to 4 weeks with no chipping!! SNS lasts much longer than gel and leaves my nails a lot healthier and stronger. Kevin is always extremely pleasant and chats during my mani. I come to this salon regularly and have never left unhappy.

This place is amazing! I came in based on the previous reviews and I am so happy I did. I came in and they asked what I needed. I needed a full set with a pedicure for a wedding. They helped me choose a nail color and I went to start my pedicure. I am not a nail expert, but I asked some people before I went what to ask for and what to expect. I was pleased with the basic pedicure. My nail tech was very friendly, I think her name was Hanna. She was nice and accommodating. I enjoyed my overall experience and I'm already planning on returning. I think I've finally found my new spot since moving to the area. Thank you, Avalon.

Does a great job.
I'm allergic to acrylic and they do liquid gel nails... so I can get the fake nail without using acrylic or the asotone.

Nice employees. The only thing that irritates me is when I call to make an appointment... I specifically ask for the liquid gel nails... and they book me in. I get there and they sit me down with someone who is going to do the regular gel nails... and not the liquid gel... so I end up having to wait or coming back a different day as only a couple workers know how to do the liquid gel nails.

This is actually a review of Avalon Too, their new location two doors down.

I have been a long time customer of Avalon Nails and have always loved getting services there. It is always clean and the technicians friendly. On 5/13/2015 I needed a manicure for a wedding I will be attending this weekend. When I saw Avalon Too I decided to check it out and see if the new location was as nice as the original.

Avalon Too is so much nicer! They have a nail bar, hot tea, all the services of the original Avalon, and a bonus is its super quiet and relaxing since most people don't know about it yet.

Tommy greeted me as soon as I walked in and was able to guide me to the manicure that would best suit my needs. We decided on a gel manicure. He explained that it would be dry immediately and last two weeks. He also helped me pick a color to match one I had seen in a photo. Tommy was meticulous and made sure every detail was perfect. The service finished with a massage and hot towel.

I will definitely be back and will definitely be requesting Tommy in the future.

I FREAKING LOVE CARA. I asked for a Gel Full Set and OMG I'm in love with Cara's technique and professionalism. Her expertise was on point. My nails look good and my hands feel good. She was very attentive and something like a perfectionist. Best experience I have ever had at a nail spa. I will definitely be going back to see her in 2 weeks.

I got a gel manicure and pedicure and it turned out great. The tech who did my pedicure took her time and it was nice to walk into a nail shop and not have them talking about you the entire time.

Kim made sure my nails were even and did a great job with the design I requested on my toe.
While I was getting my gel manicure I accidentally hit my nail and told her. She fixed it immediately. No complaints! This will be my go to nail shop!

Getting my pedicure here as I write and am very pleased. The atmosphere is relaxing and my technician is friendly and sweet. This isn't the kind of place where they talk about you in front of you, they are actually focused on their clients. I'm pleased and can't wait to be back in a few weeks for a polish change and mani pedi combo next time. The massage seats in the pedi section are nice and the decor is nice and relaxing to be here. Ahhhhhh drifting off into pampered zone. They also expanded witng Avalon too which is in the same plaza so that should say a lot about their business as well!

I've known Kevin (the owner) since he started doing nails in the area. Kevin hires talented techs. As far as the wait time - make an appointment, this is a popular salon with a good reputation. The only person I would trust waxing me in a nail salon is here, ask for Lisa.

I received a call from Kevin, the manager/owner who apologized and explained a misunderstanding with the situation regarding the nail technician. I truly appreciated it and respected him for that.

Finally found a new and awesome nail salon / tech!

I had been going to my previous nail salon located in Annapolis, MD for more than 6 years. However, my nail technician left the business and I let a couple other nail techs at that nail salon do my nails, but the quality and technique was not the same. This left me with one choice, find another salon and nail tech.

So I set out on my tried and true Yelp adventure in search of a highly rated nail salon and technicians. While combing through Yelp and reading reviews on several nail salons in the Bowie area, I came across Avalon Nail Spa in Crofton, MD. I read all the reviews for this nail salon, as well as, looked at all the pictures posted by reviewers /customers. During my search I realized that I really liked the pictures I was seeing of one nail tech in particular, Kevin. I was instantly drawn to Kevin's technique, designs, as well as how great customers nail shape looked. I immediately made an appointment for Saturday, 4/18/2015 at Avalon Nail Spa with Kevin. I love my nails! Kevin did an amazing job. Better than I expected. To note I have a Pinterest account where I post all my favorite nail art /design. I showed Kevin the nail design I wanted and he executed it perfectly. I am now going on my second week with my nails and they still look awesome! I have no complaints.

A quick mentioned about the nail salon and other staff. The actual salon is really nice. The decor is done really well and the equipment is modern and in good condition. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. They assisted me as soon as I walked in and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I have already scheduled my next appointment with Kevin and definitely foresee having a long-term relationship with him. To do my nails of course :)

My experience at both Avalon and Avalon II has been nothing short of amazing. The decor alone immediately puts you in a relaxed state of mind. The technicians are delightful and very skilled. I've never been disappointed in my mani/pedi ever. Highly recommend these salons.

When I first walked inside (of Avalon Too), I was impressed by the lovely decor. Everything looked so clean and modern. However, as I was trying to pick a color, I realized all of my Essie favorites were missing. There was only a small selection of colors - other salons in the area have many more options.

The pedicure chairs looked new, but the massage feature was lackluster. I could only find one setting that actually touched my back. Otherwise I had to press my back against the chair just to feel the massage features.

The services I had were good though. My gel manicure and pedicure turned out as I expected and I'd return in the future.

So my mom.and I booked appointments here. She got a pedicure and I had my eyebrows done. The shop itself is beautiful, and spotless. The techs we had were awesome. Best eyebrow work I've had done, the gentlemen who did them really knows his stuff. Mom was so happy with her pedicure, they removed some calluses as well and did an amazing job. For a total of forty dollars I will be back with mom in tow.

My experience was amazing. The decor was absolutely beautiful and the service was great. The technicians were very attentive and I didn't have to wait long to be seen. I got a gel manicure, pedicure, and eyebrows. They all came out well done. The technician was very precise and keep going over it to make sure it was perfect.

I've been searching for a new nail spot and I've finally found one!!! From the receptionist to my manicurist, the experience was phenomenal! Amy provided excellent customer service. It's no surprise that they had to expand to a second space because they provide exceptional service!

I have gone to many nail places in my time so I can confidently say this the best one ever! The spa is clean, well decorated, Plasma TVs, and courteous staff. I see them cleaning the pedicure bowls and fresh nail instruments used. This is very important with chance of infections spreading. Can u tell I am a nurse...I see Holly ever time, for about the last year. I set up an appointment for two weeks before I leave and so a great experience!!!!!

I have been using this salon for almost a year now. They are very clean. The nail artist are so nice and fun!! I have been getting the new gel polish on my nails and it last 2-3 weeks. I have been using Kay she is very good!! Everyone that works here is. I would highly recommend this salon to everyone.

Get my pedicures here. I like it very much. They actually have lamps that have UV light that actually harden your polish unlike some nail places that just replace them with regular light. I always come back here. Great, great place!
